To ensure you have all the information you need, we’ve created a detailed FAQ to help both new and existing parents with any questions they might have. Team Assignment
How will I know which class my child is assigned to?
Our new athlete will have two possibilities: they will either be part of the Green team, which is more competitive, or the Blue team, which focuses on skill development. You will receive an email with detailed information about your child’s team. 🏅📧
What criteria are used to determine class assignments for my child?
Our coaches evaluate four pillars: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological. This includes skills like passing, shooting, dribbling, and game understanding, as well as tactical awareness, physical ability, focus, and self-motivation. Think of it as building a solid house: we need a strong foundation in all these aspects for our athlete’s development. 🧱🏠
Can I request a specific class or coach for my child?
While we value parents’ feedback, the final decision on class assignments is made by our coaches to ensure the best development for your child. We are always open to hearing your concerns and suggestions. 👨🏫👩🏫
How often are class assignments reviewed or changed?
We review our athletes’ performance each season. Evaluations are conducted at the beginning and end of the season to understand their progress and, if necessary, adjust their class assignments. We believe in a continuous improvement process. 📈🔄
Schedule and Timing
What are the training schedules and timings for different age groups?
Training are held on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Exact schedules will be determined by the technical coordinator and sent out a month before the season starts. 🗓️
How will I be informed about the training schedule for my child?
You will receive a detailed email from the technical coordinator with all the schedules. We use the Team Snap app to keep everything updated, and a Team Manager, one of the athlete’s parents, will help with communication. 📧📱
What is the duration of each training session?
For under-10, sessions last from 1 to 1.15 hours; for under-12 and above, they last up to 1.30 hours. ⏳
How many times a week will my child have training sessions?
Our athlete will have 2 outdoor training sessions and 1 futsal session per week. 🏃♂️🏃♀️
Are there any weekend training or activities?
Yes, we have League Games, friendly matches and tournaments on weekends to keep our athletes engaged and challenged. 🏆
How do I find out about any changes or updates to the schedule?
If there are any changes due to weather or other reasons, the club will send an email, and the Team Manager will inform all parents. 🌧️📩

How can parents stay informed about their child’s progress?
We encourage you to talk to the coach during or after training sessions to get direct feedback on your child’s progress. 🗣️📈
How is feedback provided to players?
Coaches provide feedback during training sessions, before and after games. If parents want more details, they can speak directly to the coaches. It’s important to try to schedule a time with them. 👍
How can I communicate with the coaches if I have questions or concerns?
The best way is by email, but you can also talk to the coach in person before or after training sessions. They are always open to hearing your concerns. 📧👥
Additional Support
Can parents attend or observe the training sessions?
Yes, parents are welcome to watch and support, but we ask that you do not interfere with the sessions. Your support is important, but leave the coaching to the coaches, as that is their job. 👀🙌
Are there any additional resources or materials provided for at-home practice?
BUSA does not provide specific materials, but we do offer challenging activities for our athletes. Additionally, we encourage them to play with the ball outside of training, be creative, and enjoy leisure moments. It’s important for kids to have fun, try new things with the ball, and play without constant adult intervention. We want soccer to be a natural and enjoyable passion! ⚽🎉
Registration and Start Dates
How/When do the new teams begin?
New teams start in the second or third week of August for the Fall season and in the first or second week of March for the Spring season. Both depending on the games schedule. 📅
How do I register my child for the new seasons?
New Seasons registrations for the fall are in the end of May, beginning of June. Registration for the Spring is in the end of October, beginning of November. There is an option to register for Fall and Spring together and this registration is done end of May, beginning of June. It’s important to note that we are not a typical club – early registration is crucial for proper season planning. Ensuring your child’s registration in advance helps us better organize the teams and provide the best experience possible for our athletes. 📝⚽️
Are there any orientation sessions for new parents and students?
Yes, we have a semi-annual meeting to explain processes, methodologies, and answer all your questions. 📢
Daily Schedule and Locations
What is the weekly schedule for the team?
The team trains on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also have matches on Weekends. We will send the complete schedule in the email sent one month before training start. 🗓️
Where will the training be held?
Each BUSA unit uses a different field. This information will soon be available to all parents, along with the training schedule.
How often will there be practice sessions each week?
There are 2 outdoor training sessions, 1 futsal session per week and and 1 match on the weekend. 🏞️
Preparation and Requirements
What should my child bring to the first training?
It is mandatory for our athlete to bring a training uniform, socks, shin guards, water, soccer cleats, and a ball. ⚽🧦
What should my child wear to the training sessions?
The practice uniform is mandatory for all training sessions. 👕
Are there any nutritional guidelines provided for young athletes?
Currently, we do not offer direct nutritional guidance. However, we provide general guidelines to encourage healthy eating habits, such as avoiding fast food and greasy foods, especially before training sessions.

Attendance and Participation
Is attendance mandatory for all sessions?
Yes, attendance is mandatory. We understand that unforeseen circumstances happen, but we ask that you inform the coach in case of absence. ✅
What happens if my child misses a training session?
Missing a training can impact the athlete’s development and playing time, but we understand that unforeseen circumstances occur. 🚫

What is the policy on bad weather and training cancellations?
At BUSA, we follow county guidelines for field closures and training cancellations in case of bad weather. Decisions are based on recommendations and calls made by the county, ensuring the safety of all our athletes. Extra Opportunities and Costs
Are there any additional costs beyond the initial registration fee?
Yes, there are some additional costs beyond the initial registration fee. The game and training uniforms are not included in the registration fee and must be purchased separately. During registration, there is an option to buy the training uniform.
Additionally, there are personal costs associated with travel for games, hotel stays during tournaments, and other related expenses. If the athlete decides to participate in a second tournament, additional personal costs will also be the responsibility of the parents. Will there be any tournaments or special events during the term?
Yes, at BUSA we ensure that all our teams participate in at least one tournament per season. In addition to the mandatory tournament, there is also the possibility of participating in a second tournament, depending on availability and the schedule.

Behavior and Expectations
What is the expected behavior from parents during practices and games?
We expect parents to trust the coaches, as they know what is best for their child’s development. During practices and games, we ask that parents refrain from actively participating in the sessions. Your role is to cheer and support the children from the stands.
It’s important not to speak with the referees or direct comments directly to the children during practices and games, as this can contradict the coaches’ instructions and cause confusion. Just cheer, be enthusiastic, and be the most positive and encouraging support for our young athletes! 🙌🏅⚽

What are the criteria for moving up to a more advanced training group?
The main criteria are dedication and performance. If we notice that your child is progressing and standing out, they will have the opportunity to move up to a more advanced training group. Our goal is to ensure that each athlete is at the right level to maximize their development. 📈🏅
